Inspired by the artist’s Mexican-American roots and sentimentality toward the beloved party game, this original linocut relief print captures a prayer mat in a Loteria card. Like the majority of the artist’s pieces, the intention is to share Islam through a familiar cultural lens for anyone in need of a reminder that Islam beautifies and purifies all cultures.
